The Taste of Telugu Kitchens
Made by hand. Tasted by heart
Our Story
There is something about a Telugu pickle that no other can quite match. The deep heat of red chilli. The sharp brightness of raw mango. The richness of slow-cured sesame oil. It is not just a condiment — it is a part of who we are, passed down through generations without ever needing to be taught, because it lives in memory, in smell, and in that first taste that takes you straight back home.
Umadevi grew up with that taste. In her village kitchen, she learned to make pickles the way her elders did — by hand, by instinct, and with an absolute refusal to compromise. What began as batches made for family slowly grew into something more. Neighbours asked. Relatives carried jars across cities. And slowly, without any grand plan, the name Umadevi became something people trusted.
Today, Umadevi Pickles reaches homes across India — from Telugu families who recognise every note of flavour instantly, to people discovering this tradition for the very first time. The recipes have not changed. The hands have not changed. The pride has only grown.
We believe the true taste of Telugu cooking deserves to travel — to every kitchen, every table, every home that wants something real. That is the only promise we make, and the only one we intend to keep.
